Aqua Intelligence Ltd was formed in 2005 to be the IT development company within the River Marketing Group (RMG). A substantial part of our business involves designing, building and supporting online database systems for RMG and its clients including Mercedes-Benz, Pioneer and BP.

The aim of RMG is to ‘assist clients in achieving high levels of engagement for their brands among employees, distribution channels and customers’. To enable the programmes used to achieve this, Aqua is required to build bespoke applications visible via the internet to admin teams, client management, staff and clients’ customers. As well as comprehensive reporting at all levels, systems will manage interactive elements such as online award catalogues, e-mailouts, SMS, sales claiming, product knowledge, scratchcards and numerous other features to allow interaction with the programmes.

Aqua Intelligence is based between Longhope and Mitcheldean in Gloucestershire on the site of Harts Barn Farm and Harts Barn Craft Centre, offering unique and attractive surroundings as well as excellent accessibility from a wide area.

There are currently 4 staff on-site with further expansion promising to be rapid.

Job Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be developing SQL database systems with web front-ends. In most cases they will be working with short lead-times, and briefs received will often need significant input in terms of methods, design, layouts, data structures and end-user interfaces. This requires excellent relationships with and understanding of clients. With development moving quickly from a brief to a live environment, and usually including considerable data manipulation, attention to detail is vital.

Identifying opportunities and adding value to programmes is a key factor in maintaining our outstanding reputation. Excellent language skills for layout and proofing of copy are also an advantage. Candidates should be willing to work the hours required to complete tasks but should enjoy being in a flexible environment where the nature of the work enables opportunity both to learn new skills and to bring and incorporate new skills into what we offer.

Summary
