Wondering what the outcome of the Eventia awards ceremony was? Well, we're delighted to say that we won two Gold awards for our Travel and Events work.

Our Mercedes-Benz Vans World Cup programme won Gold for the Best Incentive/Motivation event in the UK, and our programme for Pioneer topped the category for the Best Overseas Incentive.

We're so excited to have received these two awards. We're extremely proud of our clients and the programmes that help to deliver brilliant results for them.

Following our brilliant news yesterday, we're pleased to say we've been shortlisted for 2 further awards by Eventia.

The Eventia awards honour outstanding business to business and business to consumer events, both overseas and in the UK, and our work with Pioneer and also with Mercedes-Benz Vans is up for consideration on awards night.

The awards take place on November 18th ... exciting times!

Today we're really on top of the world! We're excited to say that we've been shortlisted for two, highly prestigious global awards for our incentive work with Mercedes-Benz Vans.

The MAAW Globes Awards champion the highest standards of excellence and recognition in our industry, rewarding the 'best of the best' programmes, and agencies, worldwide. It is the only competition of its kind and we're incredibly proud to be shorlisted. 

 The winners will be announced in late October, so fingers crossed.

The Sunday Telegraph featured a section on bonuses and rewarding staff in its business section yesterday, and our Managing Director Phil had his say in it!

If you didn't catch it, Phil spoke about recognising people for what they've achieved being just as important as bonuses, if not more so. He also focused on team spirit being a real aid to motivation.

"There's nothing more motivating than being recognised for what you do," Phil said.

"Often, it is about being recognised in front of your peers. It doesn't have to cost the company a lot of money. Celebrating achievement is a good way of creating positive role models. This could be an article in a staff magazine on someone who's qualified for a long service award, or a facebook page on the team of the year enjoying their outing to a posh restaurant."

Like Phil says, we believe genuine recognition is absolutely key ... and we're always up for a chat about it! 

We're all smiles this Tuesday! The shortlist for the IPM awards is out and we're most definitely on it! We've received six nominations for our programmes with Mercedes-Benz Vans, Jaguar and Pioneer.

The IPM awards (formerly the ISP's) reward the most creative and effective promotional marketing campaigns of the last year and after our success in 2010, we're keeping everything crossed for 2011! 

The total number of entries has increased by 14% over last year and we're the Performance Improvement agency with the most nominations ... so we're pretty chuffed!

The winners will be announced on June 16th, and we're hoping we come away with an award (or six!!) on the night.

We're excited again! :)

We've been selected by Mercedes-Benz to run a customer services programme in the Middle East and we can't wait to get cracking!

We also secured two more fantastic international programmes last month ... so with that, our work in the Middle East and our European award nominations, there's definitely something very international in the air at River right now.

With the next wave of Champions League games kicking off tonight, we thought we’d mention being in a bit of a european final of our own!

We’ve made the shortlist for this years Integrated Marketing Communications European Awards. Our programmes for Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz are finalists in the Dealer/Salesforce/Internal Motivation category and we’re pleased as punch!

The winners are announced later this month and we’re hoping we’ll be European Champions in time for Christmas!

We're proud to say that the 3 programmes we entered in to the ISP awards for 2010 have been shortlisted. The awards celebrate and recognise excellence in the motivation and promotional marketing industries.

Our work with Land Rover, Mercedes Benz and BP will be competing in the Sales Incentives, Customer Services and Employee Recognition categories respectively.

A win would be great, so wish us luck for results day ... May 26th!
